Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu New Zealand had two competitors win World championships over the weekend.
Brent Te Kawa and Paula Te Kawa competed at the 2017 SJJIF Sport Jiu Jitsu International Federation World Championship in Long Beach, California
Brent won both his division and the open weight category at purple belt. Making him a double SJJIF world champion.
He also placed 3rd in the No-Gi division.
Paula won the open weight category and placed 2nd in her division at blue belt.
