National Gi Tournament 23/08/14 Results

Well done to all those who competed at the National Gi tournament on Saturday 23/08/14 in Auckland.

Congratulations to Jose Gomes for securing a solid 2nd place in the Black belt open division.

Renan Secco for winning the Brown belt under 88.2kg category.

Ben Boyce for taking 2nd place in the Purple belt under 88.2kg category.

Mention must also go to Felipe Aguiar, for his performance in the Blue belt under 82.3kg category. Unfortunately he was injured in the semi final and could not continue.

Brent Te Kawa had some great fights, and came away a solid 4th place in the Blue belt under 100.5kg category.

Thanks to Paula Te Kawa and Juliana Fernandes for their support on the day.

Overall a very successful team result for Carlson Gracie New Zealand.

Training starts again on Monday for the No Gi nationals in November! See you there.
